It’s been a couple of weeks since we held our 15th annual Women in Business workshop series in La Ronge and we would like to take the time to give some thanks and acknowledgements.

Terry DesRoches is the past Chairman of the Community Futures Visions North Board of Directors. After nine years of service, Terry stepped down from the CF Visions North Board in 2017. He came back in 2019 and is currently Visions Secretary/Treasurer

We are proud to present the first recipient of our Side Hustle grant. Wyatt Miller of Sparked Apparel applied, completed the three training modules and presented his finished Business Canvas, budget and marketing plan.

The Side Hustle Microgrant Program is looking for youth between the ages of 15-29 who live in the Visions North Region and are looking to start a small “Side hustle” business!

On April 18, 2020, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced support totalling over $306 million for Indigenous businesses as part of economic relief measures relating to COVID-19. Below please find answers to initial questions you may have relating to the package. Additional information will be made available over the coming days and weeks as we work with the Government of Canada on details related to the announcement.

Another successful Women in Business workshop series has come and gone in the blink of an eye. Registration started at 9 am and by the first half hour half of the registered participants had already arrived. By 10 the workshops we’re ready to start.

12th Annual Women in Business Workshops

Another year and another Women in Business series of workshops done. We plan all year for this for the last 12 years and it seems like in a blink of an eye it is over. We get to hear from inspiring speakers that motivate us and make us think and give us valuable tools that we can use not just in business but in our everyday lives.
